Today my sweet sister was able to get some pics of Maddie and I absolutely love them! She ordered her a precious outfit and headband a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was just too cute! Of course Dylan snuck in a few pics..he was getting jealous that all of the attention was on Maddie.It is a whole lot more work when Allison is taking pics of both kiddos..his pics will come later. Today was such a pretty day that we were able to go outside and actually enjoy it! I thought I would take a few pics of Maddie even though she was in her pajamas..and the shirt she is wearing was mine when I was her age and she just loves it! She is quite the poser these days and of course after every picture I took she would say "Let me see mama"! She talks all the time now..I was beginning to wonder about her..but all of my worry is long gone! The only time she is quiet is when she is asleep!Lol! Oh and she is all about her baby dolls and hardly ever puts them down..this one is her favorite..she calls it her "big baby". I catch her all the time talking to her baby! It is just too cute! Maybe it's time for a baby brother or sister!!

The day after Christmas we spent the day at my father-in-laws house with my sister, Jeremy,Dylan, my mom, and Chad (Brad's brother)! We enjoyed good food and being with each other. Maddie got alot of good gifts and she loved all of them. I love my family so much!

Maddie has had a blast this Christmas and wow did she get alot of gifts!! Her Noni and Popi were here from Tennessee and they came with tons and tons of presents for Miss Maddie!! She loved everything they got her...they did sooo good!! She absolutely loves the kitchen from them and plays with it for hours at a time!! Santa brought her a princess tent and at first she wasn't to sure about it..her Popi tried to crawl in so she would!Lol! Needless to say she warmed up to it and she even crawled through the tunnel. She loves it too!! We had alot of fun this year and really enjoyed spending time with our wonderful family!! We will be going to my father-in law's house today with my sister and mom also and I have a feeling we will come home with a car full!! On Thanksgiving day we all went to Brad's grandparents. We all had a great time and all of the food was wonderful! I just wanted to say a special thank you to Brad's grandmother for making her famous chicken and dressing!! I know it is alot of work...but we all really enjoy it!! I feel so blessed to have all of you in my life and I enjoy spending time with everyone..and Maddie just loves every second of all the attention!! We love you all so much! Well let me start by saying that about a year ago my sister gave me her Nikon camera to use. Her husband had bought her a new one so she just passed it on to me. And as some of you know I am not by any means a photographer...and at first I didn't really think that I would use it much..needless to say I ended up using it alot and I was just so proud to have a fancy FREE camera!!! About 3 weeks ago it broke and I was just sick..and I mean sick!! We found out that it would be cheaper to buy a new camera rather than have it fixed...but since I am a stay at home mom I knew that I could never afford one. Well tonight my sweet sister came over and handed me a present to open and it was a NEW NIKON D3000!!! A few weeks ago she called my wonderful husband and asked if he would go in half to get me a new camera and she said without hesitation he said YES!! I cannot begin to tell you how shocked I was... this was such a wonderful surprise and now I will have a great camera to take pics with for the holidays!! I just want to thank my sweet, sweet sister for even caring enough to ask my husband to help her buy this...they are both very special people in my life and I love them sooo much!! Thank you...Thank you...Thank you!! It is very much appreciated!

Yesterday we rode up to daddy's hunting club and Miss Maddie just had a blast. She got to ride on the tractor with daddy and then we all loaded up in the mule and took a ride! We just rode around looking at all the fields and we were lucky enough to see a deer! She loved every minute of it and so did I...his club is just beautiful and we can't wait to go back and spend a weekend with daddy!!

Well this past Thursday Maddie and I loaded up and went to visit with Noni and Popi in Tennessee. I have never traveled that far with just Maddie and I..so I was a little worried about how it would turn out..I have to say that it could not have been more perfect! Maddie never even fussed on the way up there at all and we even got stuck in traffic and were in the car for about 5 hours!!! I was so proud..on the way home today she cried a little but finally just ended up passing out. We really enjoyed our time with Noni and Popi! Maddie gets so excited to see them and they just love her sooo much! We all just sit back and see what Maddie will come up with next!! She is such a funny little girl and such a pleasure to be around!! I hate to brag..but hey it's true!! She just played her little heart out! She also loves their dog Chandler Bing! It took her a couple of days to warm up to him but by the end of the trip I think he was tired of her getting all the attention!Lol! She loves baby dolls now and when we got to Noni and Popi's house Maddie spotted Noni's baby doll that she had from her childhood...and Maddie just fell in love with it! She just kept loving on her..it was so sweet! She also loves her bracelets,purse,and backpack. To Noni and Popi...we just want to tell you that we really enjoyed our trip! We love spending time with ya'll and love you both very much! You are both very special to us!! Love you and hope to do this again soon!

Most of this weekend was spent outside...and Maddie loves watching her daddy shoot his bow! She was helping him get the arrows out of the target!The huge smile on Brad's face says it all! They both enjoyed every minute of it! She also loves riding on his tractor and this was the first time that she rode the new tractor with her daddy! I was so proud of Maddie at church Sunday that I just have to share. My husband, my mom,my mother-in-law, Maddie and I went to church Sunday and it was going to be the first time that I put Maddie in her class. All along we thought Allison would be keeping the class that she was in...but when we got there to drop her off Allison told me that she would be keeping the nursery. My heart just dropped because I just knew that Maddie would have a complete come apart after being left with strangers. Allison did tell the girl watching Maddie that she has very rarely been away from me and if she had any problems to just bring her across the hall to her. Surprisingly Maddie never even noticed that we left her and instead of Maddie crying..it was ME that got teared up. I thought for sure that after church Allison would tell me that she had to get her because she wouldn't stop crying...but that is not how it went at all! She stayed in her class the whole time and NEVER cried!!!!! I was sooooo proud of my baby girl! I apologize for this long drawn out story but I just had to share!

My mother-in-law is in town for a little while so we decided to go see her parents(Maddie's great grandparents)! She had so much fun and was so funny. In one picture she had a belt around her neck, a camera bag on her arm, and a ball in her hand. She also loves their table that holds a ton of spools of thread and she has figured out how to open it and get the thread out... NOT a good thing!! Well just let me start by telling everyone how terrified my child is/was of water! She would have a complete come apart...even with me in the water with her and even in my lap! I decided to go by a little pool and see how she would do. I figured she might do better without anyone else around...and I was right! It took her a little while to warm up but once she did she had a blast! She even let me get out to take some pics of her! This might not be a big deal to some people...but to me it is! Now we can spend some of these 100 degree days in the pool! Woohoo!!!!!!!

Brad,Maddie,my mom and I went to Pigeon Forge for a few days and we had a great time! Brad's mom lives in Tennessee so we met up with her and her wonderful husband Keith (also known as Noni and Popi)! Here are just some pics of a few of the things we did while we were there... we fed the ducks at the Old Mill, we ate at alot of great places but my favorite one was Bullfish, we thought we would enjoy the pool..but Maddie was absolutely terrifed of the water!!LOL! Oh well maybe that will change! We also enjoyed our beautiful view and did a little shopping!! We really enjoyed spending time with everyone!! Maddie got alot of attention from her Mimi, Noni, and Popi and she loved every minute of it!!

Today was a fun day! Allison,Christie,Cathy, me and all the kiddos made a trip to the zoo and it was the 1st trip for alot of us! Our sweet little will soon be 10 months old. She is doing all kinds of things now. She has been pulling up on anything that she can reach and has been for about 2 months. My wonderful mother-in-law bought her a walking toy and it only took her 3 days to figure it out! She just crawled up to it and grabbed on to the handle and took off!! She didn't just take a few steps she was walking through the house!! I couldn't have been more proud!! She also has started saying mama!!!! I almost cried the first time she said it!! Everyday is a new adventure!! She also says bye bye, claps her hands and the latest is she claps her hands when I sing pattycake!! She is so precious to us and we love her so much!!

Linda was able to come home yesterday after 12 days in the hospital!! She is doing well but still is very weak. She has a nurse coming by to check on her for the next couple of weeks. Recipe

No Bake Cookies

1 stick butter
1/2 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy if you like nuts)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cook butter, once melted add cocoa,sugar,and milk once it starts to bubble add peanut butter and mix well. Remove from heat and add vanilla and oats. Mix well. Roll out a sheet of wax paper and drop whatever size cookies you want on it.

As of yesterday Brad's mom was moved from ICU to a regular room!! She gets a little better every day, but it will be a long process before she is well. She actually was able to call me yesterday and it was sooo wonderful to here her voice!! She started physical therapy and said that it was hard. From the infection she became very swollen and numb and that is why she is doing physical therapy. She could only stand for about a minute with help from two nurses. We love our Nonnie soo much and can't wait until she is at home and feeling like herself again!! Get better soon!! We are all praying for you!!!!!

I am such a bad blogger, but I am chasing around my baby girl that is all over the place now and I just don't seem to have the time! These are pics from Halloween and although Maddie is not even a year old yet, we had a great time! MiMi, Brad, Maddie & me met Allison, Jeremy & Dylan at the fall festival at Crossroads! Staci & Joe brought their kids too! We got Maddie dressed up in her costume Allison had made! Maddie & Dylan looked so cute in their 50's costumes! Maddie's 1st Halloween was another special memory we will always rememeber!

Just letting everyone know that the doctors found out what is wrong with my mother-in-law. She has meningococcal sepsis,which affects a person the same way that has meningitis. She is still in ICU and will be for 2-3 more days. The doctors say that this is a severe case and that she is lucky to be alive. They also said that she is improving and will be ok. She has alot of recovering to do but at least the worst is over!! Thanks to everyone for your prayers. We love you Nonnie!!!

Just asking everyone to please pray for my mother-in-law! Brad and I were called today with some bad news. Brad's mom is in ICU with a blood infection. We don't know details, but we know that this is serious!! I will update everyone as soon as we know more.

I recently found out that I am pregnant!! Yes, you heard it right!! Maddie and her baby brother or sister will be 17 months apart! We are excited and did some what plan this! Everybody keeps asking if I'm crazy and although I probably will be having two in diapers, this is the way I had hoped it would happen! My Mom had my sister & I 16 months apart and we are so close! I hope Maddie will love her sibling as much as I love mine!! I go to the doctor Thursday and I will update more then.

These are some pics that Allison took of Maddie at MiMi's Saturday! I bought Maddie some new bows and had to try them out. I think they look so cute!! She looks so grown! Our little Maddie is growing like a weed! She is crawling all over the place now, we can't take our eyes off of her! She has 8 teeth now with 2 more coming in! It is hard to believe that our baby girl will be 8 months old soon! We love her so much!

Yesterday we went to my sisters for lunch and spent time with our family! It was such a beautiful day! Of course, Allison had to snap some pictures of our sweet Maddie Grace! Saturday we went to my sisters to watch the game! My friend, Alicia bought Maddie the most precious Bama outfit! It is 12 months so I didn't think it would fit, but it did! Allison had Dylan in his Bama jersey and of course she took some pics! They are so cute! We had a great time! Roll Tide!

This is the outfit that my sister ordered for Maddie's pictures this weekend. She ordered the tutu and headband with the flower about a month ago and she will use it for props. She got the t-shirt and butterfly applique today and I love it! This is going to be Maddie's best pictures yet! I can't wait!

Yesterday my sister took Maddie & I to Botanical Gardens to take some pics! It was so beautiful and we had such a good time! I absolutely love the pictures! I am so glad that Aunt Allison is the one who gets to capture Maddie's precious little moments!! My baby girl is growing so fast, she is such a blessing to us!!

Today my baby girl is 6 months old!! I can't believe it! She has brought so much joy to our lives! My sister did such a great job on her pictures! The first one is my favorite! I can't wait for her to take Maddie's pictures at Botanical Gardens this weekend! She is getting so big and is doing so many things! She has 2 teeth on bottom and 3 coming in on top! She will be crawling before we know it! We love her so much!

Today we went to my sisters and she cooked for us! Although, I know she isn't ready for real food yet, I thought I would let her try it to see what she thinks. I let her try some mashed potatoes first and she didn't seem to like them a whole lot. I even gave her some mashed up cooked apples and she wasn't crazy about those either! Oh well, it's only a matter of time before she will eat it, she is growing so fast! We love our baby girl so much!
